This is the latest piece of mine, a guitar sextette, “Mockingbirds”. I was commissioned and requested to make the piece playable as an encore in a concert, and so did I. And so did these fantastic six guitarists with 30 minutes rehearsal b...efore the concert on the day. Because none of them had any chance to rehears until the day, but played so beautiful. “Mockingbird” is a symbol of Texas, where one of the players, Olga Amelkina-Vera comes from.
先日東京で行われた演奏会（10月28日）のためにギター六重奏曲を作曲、初演されました。曲名の「Mockingbird(s)」は「まねしつぐみ」と呼ばれる鳥の名前で、今回の演奏会のゲストであったオルガ・アメルキーナ Olga Amerkina-Vera さんはアメリカのテキサス州から来られた方なのですが Mockingbird はテキサス州のシンボルの鳥です。
