第7曲 花のワルツ
「花のワルツ」は、《くるみ割り人形》の終曲を飾る華やかなワルツで、豊かな広がりと優雅な舞踏の雰囲気に満ちた名曲です。冒頭のハープによる柔らかな導入に続き、明るく伸びやかな主題が提示され、花々がゆっくりと開き、舞い始めるような情景が音楽の中に描かれています。
ワルツの三拍子は穏やかな揺れを保ちながら、旋律は大きな弧を描くように展開し、音楽に自然な流れと気品を与えています。和声は豊かで色彩に富み、場面が移り変わるたびに異なる光が差し込むような多彩さを見せます。中間部では一瞬の静けさや陰影が加わり、全体の構成に奥行きと対比が生まれています。
本編曲では、冒頭のハープの響きや終盤の壮麗な積み上がりといったオーケストラ特有の効果を、ギター六重奏の音色と配置を工夫することで再現しています。各声部が繊細に役割を分担し、重なり合う響きの広がりや、舞踏の優雅さが自然に立ち上がるよう配慮されています。チャイコフスキーの旋律美と構築美を、ギターならではの透明感とともに味わえる一曲です。

No. 7 Valse des fleurs
The “Waltz of the Flowers” is the radiant finale from The Nutcracker, celebrated for its expansive lyricism and the elegance of its dance-like character. Following a gentle harp introduction, the principal theme unfolds with bright, flowing grace, suggesting blossoms slowly opening and swirling in a broad, luminous space.
The waltz rhythm maintains a gentle sway, while the melody develops in long, arching lines that lend the music a natural sense of poise and movement. The harmony is rich and vividly colored, shifting through changing hues as the musical landscape evolves. A touch of quietness and shadow appears in the middle section, adding depth and contrast to the overall structure.
In this arrangement, particular attention is given to evoking the orchestral effects that define the original—such as the harp’s shimmering introduction and the majestic buildup toward the conclusion—through the timbral possibilities and the distribution of roles within the six-guitar ensemble. Each part contributes with delicacy and clarity, allowing the layered sonorities and the elegance of the dance to emerge naturally. The result is a setting in which Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s melodic beauty and architectural refinement can be appreciated anew through the transparent colors of the guitar.
